“Heaven has received the most precious of souls”, Nancy L. (Martin) Seger, 56 of Fordland, Mo passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. She was born February 15, 1963 in Springfield, Missouri the youngest child of John and Mary Martin of Springfield, Missouri who preceded her in death.
Nancy was a loving and compassionate person who loved being silly and always full of laughter. Nancy loved gardening and was always tending to her garden, flowers and “rescuing” plants from her sister. She loved the simple things in life, the outdoors and star gazing. She was fascinated with astronomy, beautiful sunsets, and the heavens. She loved crocheting and gifting many beautiful afghans, scarves, hats and other wonderful creations to family and friends. Nancy was also a talented artist and crafter who loved drawing and painting, especially landscapes and drawings of her pets. She loved caring for her beloved dog “Buddy”, her bird “Baby” and turtle “Charlie” as well as other fur-family members.
Most of all she loved and adored her children, grandchildren and her loving partner Mark, they were her world. Nancy wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life and gave all to the ones she loved. Her love of her family would shine through in so many ways, she was always bringing little love gifts to the children in the family and always willing to help when she could. She was so dearly loved by all of us and a piece of everyone’s heart went with her.
Nancy worked at the Rogersville Senior Center over 13 years as a Cook and loved her extended work family and friends at the Center. Her love of the patrons and her co-workers would shine through when she would talk about her work there. Her silly side shines in many of the photos she has taken over the years at the Center. She will be dearly missed by her many friends.
