Nancy Lou Blake slipped quietly from this earth and into the presence of Jesus on the morning of September 28th 2023 at the age of 76. She was born August 15th 1947 in Borger, Texas to Dr. I.W. and Doris Greer. In 1965 on June 4th, she married her high school sweetheart Keith Blake, and together they served the Lord in full time ministry for over 50 years.
She was quiet and beautiful, kind, generous, loving, graceful and patient. Though she would never use these words to describe herself, anyone who knew her certainly would. Her life of faith and trust in the Lord was a testimony not only to her family, but to the many others whose lives were forever impacted by her example. She lived a life of service to her family and to the body of Christ as a pastor/evangelist’s wife. She loved the Lord and faithfully pursued a deeper walk with her Savior all the days of her life, always the example, always teaching even as we watched her walk through the closing days of her life’s journey.
She loved music and had an incredible voice. If she had a passion outside of her relationship with her Lord and her family, it was that of singing. And what an incredible legacy she leaves behind with her children & grandchildren following in her footsteps of music and ministry.
Nancy is survived by her son Paul and his wife, Loretta. Daughter Dixie Trahan and her husband, Kenneth. Her grandchildren: Josh Trahan and his wife, Nikki, Hannah Dallalio and her husband, Jordan, Alyssa Blake, Ryan Trahan and his wife, Brittani, Audrey Jarvis and her husband, Matthew, Hope Fields and her husband, Jordan, Preston Blake and his wife, Madi, Benjamin Blake and his wife, Kaylee. Her great-grandchildren: Hadley Trahan, Harper Trahan, Lucas Fields, Ollie Jarvis, Jeremiah Trahan, Mia Fields, Cobie Dallalio, Olive Trahan, Otto Trahan, Lawrence Blake, Willsie Jarvis and Judah Trahan. Her brother Charles Reynolds and his wife Linda, and sister Cynthia Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents Dr. I.W. and Doris Greer, her brother Ippy Neil Greer and her husband Keith A. Blake.
