Nellie Mae Vedder, 85, Springfield, Mo. passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, after a long illness. She was born in Springfield, Mo. on January 15, 1934, to Fonnie L. and Ruby (Hamilton) Taylor. She retired from Frenches, and from Lily Tulip Company.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, a sister, Thelma Cohen, two brothers: Richard Taylor, Robert Taylor, and nephews, Ron Cohen and Kevin Taylor. She is survived by her husband, Richard Vedder, a daughter, Renee Crouch (Jeff), two sons: Rick Vedder and Ryan Vedder, six grandchildren: Kyle Crouch (Kristen), Noah Crouch, Stockton Thompson, Rachal Vedder, Maverick Vedder and Nick Turner, a great-grandson: Creighton Crouch. She is also survived by her brothers: James Taylor (Burna Belle), F.L. “Junior” Taylor, her aunt: Imogene Taylor, her sister-in-law: Frances Unruh, and her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews: Pam Cunningham, (Gary) Cheryle Hodges (Mike), Dick Cohen, David Cohen, Teresa Cohen-Kozikowski, Vicki Iseminger, Kira Blasi, Rene Parnell, Erick Taylor, Rick Taylor, Craig Taylor, Marvin Taylor, Terry Taylor, Timmy Taylor, Tina Wilson, Debbie Limmel, Sheila Rhoads and Justin Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
