Nema Ramona Tummons of Willard MO. went home to be with her Lord on Sat, April 23, 2016 at 5:45pm.
She was born 7-19-1918 near Walnut Grove, MO. ( actually the old town of Phoenix, MO.) the daughter of Fred Claude Taylor (1896-1977) & Nellie Grace Lindsey (1898-1976).
Nema married Floyd Franklyn “Sug” Tummons 7-23-39. They did not have children. Floyd had a massive stroke and died in 1980 after suffering 14 years.
Nema was preceded in death by her parents, husband, his parents Matt & Ester Tummons, a step mother, Opal Taylor, a brother Edward Thomas “Eddie” Taylor and wife, Laura Mae, Sister in-law Helen Beatrice (Bea) Taylor and her baby daughter Sonja Kay, and great nephew Rusty Cantrell, and brother Alfred “Jack” Taylor, of Broomfield, CO., Step brothers Asa Young & Betty of Springfield, MO. Boot Young & Theta Mae of S/Diego, CA.
Nema is survived by Shirley (Taylor) & Larry Freeman (Sun City, AZ) and her daughter Renee Cantrell, Jacqueline ( Taylor) Moore ( Scottsdale, AZ), 1- Nephew, 2-Nieces, 4-Great Nieces, 1-Great Great Niece, 7 Great Great Nephews.
Nema’s brother Eddie is survived by step children, Danny & Charles Stapp, Wanda Hedgpath, Linda West and La Rae Chaning.
Nema so loved her church family at Willard First Baptist Church in which she attended over 75 years. She was very active in several
organizations at the church. She truly appreciated the kind words and support from her church family over the years.
Funeral services are under the direction of Greenlawn North Funeral Home of Springfield. Viewing will be held at Willard First BaptistChurch, from 9am to 10am on Monday, May 2nd with Funeral services at 10am by Dennis Gromer, Pastor – of Willard First Baptist Church, (417-742-2751) 202 W Jackson St, Willard, MO 65781. In lieu of Flowers, the family suggested memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church of Willard.
Interment burial services will be held following funeral services on MAY 2nd at Rose Hill Cemetery, 9903 North State Highway Z, Willard, MO. Rose Hill Cemetery is located in Greene County, 5 miles North of Willard Mo. on State route Z, approximately 17 miles Northwest of Springfield MO. Nema will be buried next to her husband, Floyd.
