Noel Wayne Hamilton, age 66, adoring husband, and loving father, courageously finished his race in the early hours of September 11th. The Lord took him home surrounded by his family in the comfort of his own home in Springfield, Missouri, after battling against Leukemia, Lewy Body Dementia, and Parkinsons.
Noel was born on May 31st, 1957, in Knox City, Texas. After graduating from Idalou High School, he set on a northbound trek for Denver where he began his successful lifetime career in the Automotive Aftermarket Industry. It was there that he met his brown-eyed Bostonian, Kimberley S. Nickerson. They married on September 18th, 1993 followed by a two-week four-wheel drive adventure in the Rockies where many more memories were had. They went on to share 30 years of marriage and three children, Jessica, Morgan, and Jackson.
Noel had a deep love for music and many remember the charming story of their first date, when Noel bravely whipped out his guitar to play “Bad to the Bone” for Kim, following it up with a playful, and oh so romantic, rendition of “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares).” It was moments like these that endeared him to all.
Noel is survived by his wife, Kim Hamilton; daughter, Jessica Turner; daughter, Morgan Kahler and husband Stuart Kahler; son, Jackson Hamilton and wife Hannah Hamilton; mother, Betty Gale Hamilton; brother, Russell Hamilton; sisters, Patricia Anthony and Deniese Smith; beloved granddaughters, Carly, Cadence, Cleo, Camberlyn, and Cassidy; and cherished nieces and nephews, Becky, Kasey, Justin, Tiffany, Jeremy, Rynn, and Sydney. He is preceded in death by his father, Loyd Lee “Jack” Hamilton.
Noel was a man of God. He was kind, gentle, and compassionate. Always lending a hand or shoulder to lean on. A friend to all. Beyond his family, Noel’s legacy extends to the countless lives he touched with his warmth, wisdom, and faith. His Texas roots always shone through, and in the words of a classic refrain, this cowboy has ridden off into the sunset.
