Oberon “Reed” Reynolds left this life on July 1, 2022, to continue on to his next great adventure.

Reed is survived by his soulmate of twenty-one years, Judy Hoover, his five children, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

He was a friend to many, as evident by his five hundred and fifty-nine contacts on his phone and had a special connection with each one.

Being a lover of life and the great out-of-doors, some of his favorite activities included Explore Scouts, swimming, and camping. He spent the last thirty-eight years of his life in Sitka and Juneau, Alaska, where he enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, the beautiful scenery, and the opportunity to serve his community.

Reed attended Rountree, Jarrett, and was part of the last graduating class of Senior High School (1956). He continued his education at Drury College and University of Chicago, earning an MBA in Hospital Administration.

Remembered for his humbleness, creative mind, and constant desire to learn, Reed accomplished many things in his life, most recently designing his home in Springfield, Missouri.

He will be remembered for his caring connection to people, his strong spirituality, and his positive outlook on life.

There will be a celebration of life in both Springfield, Missouri and Juneau, Alaska later this summer.
