Opal Lee Sharp, 98, passed away Monday, 27, 2015 at Cox Medical Center South. She was born April 12, 1917 to Albert and Mary Lee of Sparta, MO.
She married Leo Sharp on Sept. 22, 1942.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo, three sisters: Louise, Eula Mae and Jean, a brother Clell, a son Jerry Sharp, a grandson Michael Sharp and a step-son Jack Sharp. Opal is survived by her son Tom and wife Wanda, daughter-in-law Carol, three grandsons: Russ Sharp and wife Lori, Chris Sharp and wife Tammy, and Jeff Sharp, seven great grandchildren: Kyle, Emily, Amy and Nick Sharp and Olivia, Devell and Allison Noland, five nieces: Carol, Kay, Donna Mae, Karen Jean and Patty and four nephews: Robert, Larry, Donald and Rex.
Visitation will be Thursday April 30 from 6-8 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services will be Fri at Hopedale Cemetery at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
