Patricia Lorraine Enslow understood that the greatest satisfaction in life came from making others happy and appreciating the simple pleasures life had to offer. In doing so, she was beloved by many – a cherished wife – and a loving mother who passed away at St. John’s on Thursday November 12, 2009 at 5:37am.
Born February 8, 1954 in Albuquerque, NM to Gilbert and Susie Chacon, she graduated from Fontana High School in 1972. Patti married the love of her life, David Enslow, on June 10, 1978 at the Riverside Mission Inn and together, in love, they began their family in Rialto, California. Mesmerized by the majestic beauty of the Ozarks on one summer family vacation, she and the family moved to Springfield, Missouri in May of 1994.
Patti was a member of National Heights Baptist Church where she taught 1st and/or 2nd grade Sunday School for 14-years. She also volunteered her services as the Hillcrest High School’s PTA President. With a love for photography she worked at Ozark Camera Shop and was a receptionist at Tax and Financial for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father Gilbert Chacon, mother Susie Chacon, and her brother Gilbert Chacon Jr.
Patti is survived by her husband David Enslow and their children Aimee Hutchinson, son’s Derek Enslow, Mark and wife Laura Enslow and five grandchildren Jacey and Skye Hutchinson, Wyatt, Alexander, and Phillip Enslow. In addition her memory will also be cherished by her two loving sisters Helen and husband David Manharth and Rebecca and husband Larry Sells as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
