Paul Wendell Buchanan 89, Springfield, MO. passed away April 25, 2021 in his home, after a long illness. He was born on September 11, 1931 in Springfield, MO. to Emmett Leo and Nellie Artema (Davis) Buchanan. He attended the Church of Christ and was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War era. He was a retired owner-operator of Paul Buchanan House Moving Business, working many long hours, going in a four state area. He loved the great outdoors, cutting fire wood and his fur baby’s.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 64 years, Norma Buchanan and his five siblings: Gordon, Wilma, Lois, Ray, and Charles. He is survived by his three children: Karen Copeland and her husband, Tom, Cheryl Nelson and her husband, Randy, and Micky Buchanan and his wife, Mary, four grandchildren: Matthew, Marti, Cory, Trevor, seven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, one sister: Alice Serrano and her husband, Mel, He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with his two special nieces: Becky Buchanan and Ella Buchanan as well as many friends.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2021, at Robberson Prairie cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Spay Neuter Assistance Program: P.O. Box 14354, Springfield, MO. 65814-0354.
