Paulette Webb, 72, was healed and went to be with the Lord early on the morning of July 23, 2016, after a lengthy illness. She was born in El Dorado, Arkansas, on April 9, 1944. Her life was a song with the major themes being her love of God, love of family, love of music, love of gardening and flowers, and love of cats. Her sweet and generous spirit mixed with her determination and strength of will left an impact on lives wherever she went. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield, Missouri, for the last decades of her life, and there and at previous churches, she threw herself wholeheartedly into the music ministry, singing in the choir, playing handbells, and assisting with the music at services at area nursing homes. She landscaped and improved the yard of every place she lived, including rental houses, and throughout her life, she fed and sheltered countless cats, specially favoring strays who were down on their luck. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Ermon and Ivy Dean Webb. She is survived by her sister, Vicki Harris (Neosho, Missouri); her four children, Michael William Hall (Portsmouth, Virginia), James Ermon Hall (Ozawkie, Kansas), Deborah Paulette Hall (Niangua, Missouri), and Daniel David Webb (Niangua, Missouri); and her six grandchildren. As her final generous gift, she wanted her body donated to a medical university. A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church, Springfield, on August 3, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
