Peggy Joan McSpadden passed away Thursday October 15, 2015 at the Strafford Care Center. She was born February 3, 1933 in Springfield, MO to Oscar and Opal Cook.
She will always be remembered as being a loving and dedicated mother, and grandmother. Peggy was also a loving wife to her late husband Don and one of her children’s fondest memories of their father and mother was the days of waterskiing and boating on Crab Orchard Lake. Peggy’s special recipes during the holiday’s will also be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, sisters; Vasca and Darlene. Peggy leaves behind her four sons and their wives: Don Jr and Mary Jane, Michael, David and Tracy, and Patrick and Anissa, grandchildren: Matthew, Corey, Elizabeth, Megan, Chase, Zaak and Ethan McSpadden, sisters: Georgia Talley, Beverly Von Holt and Wanda McMillen, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 6:00 -7:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial service will start at 7:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date at Springfield National Cemetery.
