On September 13, 2021 at 1:03am, Mrs. Peggy Joyce Petersen left this world. Daughter of Mary Etta and Herschel James Joplin, Wife of 49 years to Mr. M.J. Petersen, mother to Christy and David Goodman, Sister of Betty Witherspoon, Tony, Jack, and Mickey Joplin, Grandmother to Jennifer, Zachary, Misty, April, Shane, Dustin and David, Great-Grandmother to Jordan, Christopher, Cameron, Dylon, Tucker, Maverick, Trinity, R.J., Zavion, Zariah, Sammie Jo, Brighton, and Eve, Aunt and cousin to many more.

Family was everything to Peggy. She was a lady that made sure when you entered her home you left with a full stomach, and even fuller heart, and knowing that you were truly loved. She truly was an Angel walking among us and now she has been called home. It is with a heavy heart and a smile that we say our last worldly see you soon to the light of our lives.

Although we know you are finally smiling again and so happy to be in the arms of Jesus and walking and laughing with your Baby boy David and all your loved ones who welcomed you home, Grandma, you truly were our Angel and there are no words to explain the greatness of how you will be missed.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Friday, September 17, 2021, 12:00pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 W. Battlefield, Springfield, Missouri.
