Peter Charles Iverson, 71, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015. He was born November 3, 1943, in Fargo, North Dakota to Dale Iverson and Glendora Eberson. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, Minnesota in 1960. He served in the United States Army from October 1960 to August 1962. He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1968, with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy. He graduated from Florida State University in 1975 with a Masters, of Science in Social Work, and continued his doctorate studies with completion of a PhD in Philosophy in 1979. He served as an assistant professor at Missouri State University from August 1979 to August 1983, in the field of higher education. He served as an associate professor from August 1983 to May 1987 in the fields of sociology, anthropology, and social work. He is survived by a daughter, Dr. Suzy Ann Iverson of Concord, New Hampshire. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
