Phyllis Jean Williams parted this world and entered her eternal inheritance on July 24, 2020.
Phyllis was born in Riverton Iowa on November 7th, 1933 to Peter Cedric and Rubenia Marguerite Wilkerson. She was the second oldest of seven girls. On August 3rd, 1950, she was joined in marriage to Charles Edgar Williams, and gave birth to two daughters and three sons over a fifteen-year period. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, granny to all the greats, and friend to all who knew her. She leaves a legacy of service, trust, and loyalty to her family and friends.
She and Charlie worked hard to provide for the needs of their family until his earthly departure in 1991. Since that time, Phyllis has used every resource available to her to continue investing in her children’s lives. Her love for her family is unquestionable and will forever testify to her love for Jesus Christ.
She was saved and baptized early in life and rededicated as an adult. She attended Lakeside Family Worship Center (now “Compass”) in Marshfield, Missouri until she became homebound and maintained it as her home church until her departure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Geneva Rollins, Mary Page, Avis Forrester, Beverly Taylor, Margie Vande Linde, Nora Leigh Young, her husband Charles, her son Richard “Dick”, her daughter in laws Chrissy and Virginia, and her grandson Tommy. She is survived by her brother Robert “Bob” Wilkerson, daughters, Donna Nowak and Desty Denney, sons Charles “Doug” and Robert “Dale”, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, to whom she is commonly known as “Granny.”
She was His creation, she chose Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in this life, and she will be His forevermore. We take comfort knowing that she is eternally His.
