Mr Velmer Pink Taylor, known throughout his life as Pinky, age 74 years, passed peacefully in the presence of his son, Jeff, August 3, 2020 In Strafford, Missouri.
He attended Marlow High School. He then lived in Strafford where he was a devoted husband and father.
He lived in Oklahoma and Missouri most of his life working as a farmer.
He married Mary Emma Jean Vincent October 21,1966, who preceded him in death in July 1980. He then married Irena Taylor, who preceded him in death in November 2004.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred Ray Taylor, Sr and Rosa Lee Morgan Taylor, three brothers: James Ervin Taylor, Leland Bert Taylor, Sr and Charles Edward Taylor.
He is survived by two children: Jeffery Pink Taylor of Hernando, MS and Jessica Rose Flurry of Bethany, OK; two grandsons: Charles Jeffery Taylor and Alexander Daniel Taylor of Brundidge, AL; one brother: Fred Ray Taylor, Jr, of St Robert, MO and two sisters: Kathaleen Sue Simmons of Hernando, MS and Elizabeth Louiese Ford of Duncan, OK.
Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 9, 1 pm at Liberty Baptist Church, Springfield, MO with Pastor Willis Covington officiating.
