Preston Napierre White 77, Springfield, Mo. passed away on September 10, 2018 after a long illness. Preston was born in Springfield, Mo. on December 29, 1939 to Grover Preston and Dorthey Ruth (Bross) White. Preston served his country in the United States Navy. He was a retired security guard, from the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport, He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Preston loved flowers, shopping, and the holiday season.
Preston was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dottie White, two brothers-in-law: Daniel Calhoun and Sammy McGee, along with several aunts and uncles. He is survived by three sisters: Donna McGee, Lynette Calhoun, and Lauralea Oxenreider and her husband Tim, a brother: John Smith, an uncle: William “Bill” White and his wife, Gayle, along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and wonderful cousins.
A celebration of life and open house will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 371 Camellia Lane, Springfield, Mo.
