Rae Ann Cannefax (1971-2016)
Rae Ann (Senkevech) Cannefax was born on Sunday, November 7, 1971 in Nevada, Missouri to Judith (Shields) Senkevech and Maxon Ray Senkevech. She left her earthly tabernacle behind, and joined her Heavenly Father and Savior, when she passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, while visiting her ill father in Bronaugh, Missouri. Rae Ann had been diagnosed with leukemia in the fall of 2014, and had undergone numerous treatments for this disease since that time. She was a very strong woman.
Rae Ann worked at Marlon’s (chicken restaurant in Bronaugh, MO), K-Mart (Springfield), Smitty’s Restaurant (Springfield), Boatmen’s Bank (Item Processing – nights, Controller’s Department – days, Marketing Department – days), and the Willard School District (middle school math teacher). However, the job Rae Ann worked the longest and liked the best was – Wife (22 years) and Mother (17 years). She was liked by those she worked with due to her sense of humor, quick wit, and natural beauty – but she was loved more by her husband and 5 children.
On June 25, 1994, Rae Ann Senkevech married Dan Cannefax in Springfield, Missouri. To this union, 5 children were born, Benjamin, Claire, Claudia, Audrey, and Joe Cannefax. Rae Ann loves her husband and children and her husband and children love her.
Rae Ann enjoyed many activities, events, and things while on this earth, however, what she enjoyed most was her God, her husband, her children, and her family and friends.
Rae Ann was preceded in death by all of her grandparents; her mother Judith (Shields) Quade; her father-in-law Joe Cannefax. She is survived by her loving husband Dan Cannefax; her loving children, Benjamin Cannefax, Claire Cannefax, Claudia Cannefax, Audrey Cannefax, and Joe Cannefax; her father, Max Senkevech and friend Brenda Mart; her step-father, Leonard “Lefty” Quade; her mother-in-law Virginia Cannefax; her brother and sister-in-law Tim and Karen Ashby and their children; her sister Sharon Ashby and her children Sara Query, Jacob Query, Alexandra Query, and Lindy Pettibon; her brother Donnie Ashby; her brother Scott Senkevech and friend Stephanie McManis, brother and sister-in-law Justin and Brooke Senkevech, sister and brother-in-law Edward and Jessica Caprio; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jim and Deborah Crooke and children Levi, James, John, and Sarah; special cousin and wife Kevin and Tara Senkevech as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many, many, kind, helpful, good friends.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at 1 PM in Seminole Baptist Temple. The interment will immediately follow in Whitechapel Cemetery.
