Raymond Joe Westmoreland, 81 of Springfield, MO was born on November 17, 1933 in Springfield, MO to Everett and Hazel Westmoreland. He passed away on March 13, 2015 at home with family by his side. Joe was raised in Springfield, MO, worked at Breese and Sons for many years plus SOMO. He was also a member of Brown Street Baptist Church. Joe like to fish, work on every automobile he could get his hands on, loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much. He was always laughing and joking with family and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his infant daughter Judy Mae Westmoreland; both parents; and 2 brothers Jim and John David. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bertha; 3 sisters: Mary Ruth, Shirley, Dorothy; 8 children: Carolyn Sayre, Joe R., Jackie, Mary Abney, Donna Powell, Jerry, Jimmy and Barbara Kerns; 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday March 18, 2015 with a funeral service the next day at 3:00 pm. All services will take place at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be left at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com
