Funeral Services for Rev. Raymond Lee Lasseter age 86 of Springfield, formerly of Blue Eye, Missouri will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with Rev. Keith Butler, Rev. Jim Bales and Rev. Bill Burris officiating. Burial will be on Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Field Creek Cemetery in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas.
He died April 20, 2015 at The Neighborhood at Quail Creek in Springfield, Mo.
He was born on May 30, 1928 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas the son of Isaac Everett and Mattie Mae Moran Lasseter. He had been pastor of Bowman Pentecostal Church near Blue Eye, Missouri for 57 years before his retirement. He had the first gospel radio broadcast on the Branson radio station KBHM. He was united in marriage to Vivian Moore on April 9, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas and to this union was born four children.
He is survived by his wife; Vivian Lasseter of Springfield, Mo. Four children; Raymond Lee Lasseter Jr and wife Joan of Oak Grove, Arkansas, Brenda Jean Lasseter of Springfield, Mo., Gwenda Marie Plummer and husband David of O’Fallon, Missouri and Timothy Eugene Lasseter and wife Terri of Blue Eye, Missouri. Nine Grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, Arno, Ralph, Jimmie, Roy and infant Johnathan and three sisters, Ethel, Myrtle and Anna Mae.
Visitation will be from 1 PM Saturday until service time at 3 PM in the funeral home.
