Raymond Pernice, age 73, of Springfield, MO passed away on Monday March 7, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Raymond was a Deputy Sheriff for the Greene County Sheriff’s Department. He was known by “Bulldog”. He was an avid bass fisherman. He also enjoyed tractor pulling (Little Dago), and also showing halter class horses plus enjoyed attending rodeos. Raymond had a passion for camping, Nascar and the Steelers Football Team. He loved to gather with all of his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Hughes and Delma (Butch) Hughes; and brother Ricky Hughes. Survivors include his wife Cheryl; daughter Rhonda Bussard and husband Steve; son Raymond Joseph Jr. and wife Janet; son Ryon Woody; brother Cecil Hughes; sister Topsi Long and husband Chris; nephew Danny Hicks; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren plus one great niece and one great nephew; one great-great niece and one great-great-nephew.
