Renee Harris, 47, of Springfield, Missouri, passed on to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Renee was born on June 1, 1968 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1987. Renee worked at Kraft Foods for 16 years, and Carlisle for 4 years. She attended New Hope International Ministries and had a special love for the Lord. Renee enjoyed traveling, playing and watching her children play sports, and truly loved being around her family.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents the late Leonard A. Gardner Sr. and Revedell Gardner and three brothers, Lawrence, Alexis, and Stevie Gardner. Renee leaves to mourn her husband, Calvin Harris of Ozark, MO; one daughter Destanie Gardner and her wife Sabrina of Kaneohe, Hawaii; one son Elijah Harris of Ozark, MO.; three brothers and six sisters, Leonard Jr., Leonardo and his wife, Sue, Everett and his wife, Lisa, Deborah Jamerson and her husband, Pastor Lamarr Sr., Lynette Adams and her husband, Garland, Della Gardner, all of Springfield, MO., Sherran Riley of East St. Louis, IL., LaRonda Harris and her husband, Will of Fort Mill, SC. and Lisa Ferrell and her husband, Spenser of Atlanta, GA., and a plethora of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., November 6, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole Springfield, MO. Pastor Lamarr Jamerson Sr., will be officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, 2244 E Pythian St. Springfield, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, MO.
