Richard D. “Rick” Slonecker,age 78, Republic passed away Wednesday, May 20th, 2020 at Birch Pointe Health and Rehbilitation.
Rick was born October 18, 1941 in Kansas City, MO. He was a graduate of Bronaugh High School. Rick served in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Sandra Bales on November 8, 1972 in Springfield, MO. Rick worked as an over the road truck driver for 50 years. He was a member of Gate Of The Temple Masonic Lodge. He and Sandra attended Hood United Methodist Church, in Republic.
Survivors include his loving wife Sandra Slonecker of the home; three children, Wanna Gall and husband Don, Debra Gall and husband Michael, and Cheri Helmink and husband Greg; two step-daughters, Susan Glendenning and husband Dale, and Lori Smith and husband Andy; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends
He was preceded in detah by his parents, and a sister, Sandra Rackley.
A celebration of life for Rick will be held at a later date.
