Roberta “Bobbi” Jensen, loving and adored wife, mother, sister, and friend, departed this life on January 11, 2020, after a second bout with cancer. All who knew her, loved her. She loved the ranch her and her husband, John, purchased outside of Seymour in 1986. She would spend hours in the quiet solitude of pulling weeds in the garden, flower or vegetable, and created numerous spots in the yard to sit and enjoy the peacefulness. Her favorite pastime was to sit on the deck with her cup of iced tea and watch the cattle grazing in the pasture.
In her various jobs through the years, she touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. Nobody was a stranger to her. If she saw someone in need, she would take them to a restaurant and feed them, or to the gas station to get gas for their car. She loved to talk about the miracle God granted her after her first battle with cancer that gave her an extra 5 years with her family and friends.
Her love of children brought several foster children into their home, and eventually to the adoption of Tommy and Nathan. In all of the challenges throughout the years, her faith kept her strong and fighting for them as any parent would.
Bobbi was never one to allow attention to be focused on her, instead, making those around her shine. In that vein, she did not want to have everyone focus on her at a memorial service, and instead, ask all friends and family to take a moment to consider the joys in their life. If you would like to honor Bobbi, please plant a tree or make a donation to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude's, or the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
Tell me, what does it look like in heaven?
Is it peaceful? Is it free like they say?
Does the sun shine bright forever?
Have your fears and your pain gone away?
'Cause here on earth it feels like
Everything good is missing since you left
And here on earth everything's different
There's an emptiness
Oh, oh, I
I hope you're dancing in the sky
And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived
So tell me, what do you do up in heaven?
Are your days filled with love and light?
Is there music? Is there art and adventure?
Tell me are you happy? Are you more alive?
'Cause here on earth it feels like
Everything good is missing since you left
And here on earth everything's different
There's an emptiness
Oh, oh, I
I hope you're dancing in the sky
And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived
Since you arrived
Oh, oh
(What does it look like in heaven?) Yeah, yeah
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, I
I hope you're dancing in the sky
And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived
Since you arrived
