Ozark resident Robonna Jean White, 66, died December 30th, 2022 in her home, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
A 1974 graduate of Hillcrest high school, Robonna met and married the love of her life, Carl Thomas “Buddy” White Jr. in 1975. They shared a love of fast cars, motorcycles and adventurous excursions to Table Rock Lake. Together they moved from Springfield to Ozark in 1994, where she and Buddy built by hand the comfortable house they turned into a loving home for their two children.
Robonna fiercely loved her family and reveled in being a doting grandmother to her two grandchildren, Maddie and Parker Johnson. Robonna, whose name was a blending of her father and mother’s first names, was well known for her optimistic outlook on life and ever-present smile. She was a friend to everyone she met and you could feel her comforting and outgoing presence when she walked in the room.
Robonna is survived by her mother, Bonnie Wilkins of Springfield; daughter Cara Johnson and son-in-law Jeff Johnson of Springfield; son Spencer White of Ozark; brother Dennis Campbell and wife Charlena Campbell of Springfield and grandchildren Maddie and Parker Johnson, also of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Campbell of Springfield, and husband Carl Thomas “Buddy” White Jr., of Ozark.
A Celebration of Robonna’s well-lived life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with visitation form 12:00 to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
