Rochelle lived in several towns in the Midwest while growing up. She met Gary Harter, the love of her life, while in middle school in Billings, Missouri. They became High School sweethearts at the age of 15 and married on April 12th, 1975. They were blessed with 47 years of marriage together. Two sons were born to this union, Travis, and Trevor.
Gary and Rochelle spent many of their years together in the Billings & Highlandville, Missouri communities. They moved to Oklahoma in recent years, so they could enjoy spending more time with their grandkids: Macey, Paityn, Cannon, and Bo.
Rochelle’s career was devoted to the banking industry. Throughout her life she formed many lasting friendships with coworkers and customers. One of her favorite customers was country music singer Garth Brooks. He even made a special trip to the bank one day to hand deliver concert tickets for her and Gary to his Tulsa concert. On one of Garth’s visits to the bank, Rochelle handed him a box of candy filled with plastic spiders. He got a big laugh at her prankster ways. She retired in February 2019.
Rochelle loved to spend her vacations at the ocean and going on cruises with Gary and her boys. Spending time with her husband, sons, family and especially her grandkids was her favorite. She had a passion for finding and collecting glass baskets.
Rochelle was proceeded in death by her father Richard Britton, sister Resenda Britton, father-in-law Dix Harter, and mother-in-law Peggy Harter.
Rochelle is survived by her husband Gary, her sons, Trevor, Travis and his wife Lisa, her grandchildren Macey, Paityn, Cannon and Bo, her mother Rosie Britton, her sisters and their spouses Rhonda (Steve) Staiger and Ricki (Randy) Rapp, her many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
