Ronald Lynn Myers, 71, of Springfield, MO passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Lynn was born on January 18th, 1949 in Houston, Texas. He was the son of Carlton (Alicia) and Elizabeth Boyette Myers. Lynn married Nancy (Finney) Myers on May 20, 1972 in Hutchinson, KS.
Lynn graduated from Kansas State University in 1971 and University of Kansas School of Law in 1974; he practiced law for many years. Lynn volunteered at many different places including the Disabled American Veterans, Crosslines, RSVP, Council of Churches and Habitat for Humanity. He also served on the boards for the Council of Churches of the Ozarks and Agape House. Along with volunteering Lynn and his wife Nancy were devoted members of the Campbell United Methodist Church for over 20 years. Lynn enjoyed singing and was even part of their church’s choir.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife Nancy, his parents Carlton (Alicia) and Elizabeth, his two brothers, Brian Keith (Cindy) Myers and Eric (Joy) Myers, his five sisters, Keeta (Michael) Gilmore, Carla Ryan, Maggie (Christopher) Maier, MeChelle (Ralph) Hall, and Mary (Robert) Phillips-Dahm, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20th, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Lynn’s memorial service will be held Friday, February 21st, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Campbell United Methodist Church with Rev Daniel Hilty officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials may be given to Crosslines Food Pantry at 615 N Glenstone or Campbell United Methodist Church at 1747 E Republic Road.
