Ronald Stuart Chittenden, age 76 passed away on March 26, 2023 at Republic Nursing & Rehab Facility.  He was born December 8, 1946 in Springfield, MO.  He was the son of Wayne Alfred and Edna Faye (Chastain) Chittenden.  He grew up in Springfield where he graduated from Hillcrest High school in 1964 and joined the United States Army in 1969.

He worked for Frisco Railroad later Burlington Northern Santa Fe for 20 years as a Carman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching westerns.  Ron loved to have fun, spending time with family and friends.  He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Thomas & husband John.  Grandson’s Branden Thomas & wife Kathryn, Justen Thomas & wife Jennah, 2 great grandson’s Easten & Casen Thomas.  Sister Janet Goodwin & husband John, sister Donna Eagon & husband Junior, brother Monty, brother Ted & wife Sherry, and many nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered as a beloved father, grandpa, brother & friend. He will be so greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  We have peace knowing he is with his Lord and Savior now.

Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2023, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
