Rosalie June Goodman, age 74, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on November 9, 2020 at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 30, 1946 to Ralph and Bertha Teter. Rosalie would graduate from High School in 1984 and then attend beauty school. She would be lucky enough to find love twice in her life. In her first marriage with Eddie Brewer and then in her second to James “Ed” Goodman. Rosalie was good at many things but her best traits were keeping her word and being on time. She applied these traits in her own work at Ed’s Cottage Clippers where she won employee of the decade. She raised her children to have a good work ethic, always be prepared and to have a relationship with the Lord. Rosalie herself was a member of Crossway Baptist Church and participated every year in the “Shoe Box Project”.
Outside of work she had many interests such as painting, writing short stories, playing games, watching the news, and walking her dogs. Rosalie took her job as Grandma very seriously, even winning the award of Best Grandma of the Millennia. Unfortunately, due to COVID and her health she was not able to visit family as much as she liked. She was still a vital part of her children’s and grandchildren’s lives, she once said they were “her life’s work”.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Bertha; husbands Eddie Brewer and James Goodman; many cousins and beloved family pets. She is survived by her children, Renee Brewer, Eddie Brewer, and Chloe Brewer; grandchildren, Eddie Brewer III, Renee Brewer, Loree Quinn, Hunter, Clayton Brewer and Paul Hobson; step-grandchildren, L. Goodman, Chloe Brewer, and Hunter Aynes; nephew Aaron; niece Rachel; many cousins and a host of friends.
At this time there are no services through Greenlawn Funeral Home North, the family may be doing a memorial service at Crossway Baptist Church at a later date.
