Roswitha “Rosie” Ingrid Stegall 73, of Springfield passed away peacefully in her home November 16, 2015. Rosie was born July 1, 1942 in Germany to Josef and Helene Hertl. Rosie was united in marriage to James Stegall December 30, 1960. Filled with compassion, Rosie was active in the community and was a founder of the Epilepsy Foundation, and volunteered at the Regional Girls Shelter. She was also active in the German club. Rosie was a long time business owner of the Plant Boutique and Café Roswitha. Family and friends were her joy and passion. She was preceded in death by her husband Major James Stegall, parents Josef and Helene Hertl, her daughter Ingrid Stegall and a longtime friend and companion Rocky Nelson. Rosie is survived by her two children, James Stegall and Becky Cave (Mark). Grandchildren Emily, Elizabeth, and Nathaniel Cave. A sister Siggi Tofahrn. Nephew and niece Rudiger Tofahrn, and Ilona Tofahrn – Flint. Great – nephew Ray Tofahrn, and dear friend Anita Acreman. Visitation will be Thursday November 19, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Services will be Friday November 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Greenlawn South Funeral Home. Burial following in Rivermont Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO.
