Ruth Alma Beck (Cook), 82, of Nixa, Missouri peacefully passed away to her eternal home surrounded by her family on December 11, 2020.
She was born to Robert and Chloe Cook on November, 30, 1938 in Killarney, WV. When she was 2 years old her father passed away as a result of a coal mining accident. Her mom remarried and the family was complete with her two brothers and one sister who only grew closer with each passing day.
On May 23, 1956 Ruth married Robert Beck. They were married for 46 years before Robert preceded her in death on August 21, 2002.
Ruth spent a lifetime instilling her values in her six children. These values included faith, kindness, patience, tolerance, forgiveness and most importantly love.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert and brother Buddy. She is survived by her six children Robert (Maureen), Debbie, Donald (Krista), Melinda (Mark), Darryl and Rose (Karl), 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, her loving sister and best friend Shirley Gaye Thomas, brother Donny (Sally) Johnson, extended family and countless friends.
She was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield, MO where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19 at 2:00 pm.
