Ruth Ann Massey, age 82 passed away on August 11, 2015 in Springfield, MO. She was born on January 3, 1933 in Nickerson, KS to Paul and Rachel Alexander. Ruth graduated from Nickerson High School in 1950, then married in 1953 to Francis Massey. She was a member of Seminole Baptist Temple and a Volunteer at Mercy Hospital for about 10 years, but her favorite pastime, was taking care of her family as homemaker/housewife.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Glenn Alexander and Richard Alexander, and sisters, Carroll King and Paulla Steele.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Francis Massey; her children, Nancy Miller (Ted), Dennis Massey (Jun-Jun) and Scott Massey (Taffy); six grandchildren, Chris Miller (Rebecca), Brian Miller (Alicia), Austin Miller (Amber), Robert Massey, Matthew Massey, David Massey; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Miller and Asher Miller; and a sister, Martha Jo Prilliman.
Services for Ruth will be on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with burial following at 11:00 a.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
