Ruth Frances Womack Williams was born on July 14, 1936 in Wardell, Missouri to Raymond D. Womack and Ora Beatrice Womack. She grew up on a farm with her brothers Dewey, Harland, Robert, and her sisters Gearldine and Mary. She moved to Springfield after high school where she met and married Leonard J. Williams on July 23, 1956. They had 2 children; Vicky and Gary. She had 5 grandchildren; Nick, Shelby, Heather, Melissa, and Jesse, 3 great-grandchildren; Cannon, Brice, and Lincoln. Ruth was married 59 years and recently widowed when Leonard passed away on October 30, 2015.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5, 2016, 10:00am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00am, just prior to the service. Ruth will be laid to rest next to her husband, Leonard, in Bass Chapel Cemetery following the service.
Pall Bearers for her service will be; Art Hock, Gary Williams, Justin Frese, Jessie Hock, and Scott Henshaw.
