San Juana James was born on April 16, 1933 in Brownsville, Texas to Domingo and Lidia Pedraza. San Juana was married to Ralph James for 49 years when he passed. She taught English and Spanish for 26 years at Fair Grove High School. During her retirement she was active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and at several senior centers.

She is survived by two sons, Mark and Cliff James and family as well as countless friends. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery on Monday, June 8 at 12:45.

Cliff & Mark, I just found this out today. I'm so sorry for your loss. ???? Tia' San Juanita was a beautiful, loving, intelligent, strong woman & soul inside & out. I've always looked up to Tia' & her accomplishments. She looks so much like mama grande'. So beautiful she looks. Just like she had once said at mama grande's funeral; "...not even a wrinkle on her...". She takes after her mom, no wrinkles. ???? I still have the pictures that Tia' sent me some years ago. ???? I will keep both you dear cousins in my heart & prayers always. God bless you both! Te amo! ???? Yolanda????

Cliff and Mark, I"m so sorry for your loss. She was one of the best teachers at Fair Grove and I learned a lot more than Spanish in her classes. My apologies for the late message as I just found out. --Kim

Mark and Cliff, I am so sorry for your loss. You all are special to me. I loved your Mother . She was one of my most favorite teachers and I considered her a friend, as well. Many thoughts and prayers go from the depth of my heart to God for you. I would love to hear from either or both of you.

Mark and Cliff we consider it an honor and a pleasure to have known your mother. She always had an outstretched hand to anyone that needed help and a smile of joy!

I loved this woman very much. We always had a "connection". We took a couple of little trips together... Tulsa, Okla and St. Louis. We always laughed and had a good time. I know she is in heaven and for that I am grateful. Mark and Cliff.... thanks for sharing your momma with me. My prayers are with you both.
