Sandra Effie Daniels Jones was born on May 15, 1937, in Galena, Missouri, to Boyd and Ora Daniels. She died on June 30, 2020, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents Boyd and Ora Daniels; her brother Jurand B. Daniels; and sister-in-law Betty J. Daniels.
Sandra is survived by her niece Lana Tanner and husband Bruce; her nephew Randy J. Daniels and wife Janet; her nephew Boyd Lee Daniels and wife Esther; a great niece Sara Daniels Quick and husband Dustin; great nephews Tommy Stone, Michael Stone, and Jason Hunt; great-great niece Rylee Quick; great-great-nephew Wesley Quick; and stepsons Kelly and Larry Jones and other relatives.
Sandra was born and raised in Galena, Missouri. When in high school, her family moved to Branson. She graduated from School of the Ozarks Junior College, after having worked for Dr. Good, the Academic Dean. From there she went to work at Skaggs Hospital as Admissions Secretary.
Sandra married Luther Jones in 1979, and they were married for 19 years. Several years after Luther passed away, she met her second love, Rocky. She never had children of her own, but she loved children and animals. She took her first plane ride to Phoenix, Arizona, and stayed there until December 2018.
She spoiled her niece and nephews as though they were her children. She was very generous, loving and kind. She gave her heart to Jesus at the age of 5 and taught Sunday school as a young adult.
She grew up in a close family that celebrated holidays and special occasions together. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, baking, reading and genealogy. We have many special memories of daily life together…things like walks and drives in the country, baking cookies, staying up all night talking and giggling. (She was a night owl and loved having midnight cookie raids.)
It was important to her that her family also get their heart right with the Lord, and she prayed for all of us through the years. She will be missed dearly.
