My sincerest condolences to the Dock family. Sandy was always welcoming and positive. I remember hanging out with John in high school….swimming in the pool…playing Superstar Baseball. I remember preparing for weekend double headers when John and I played for the Springfield Cardinals after high school…lol. Sandy made sure John was ready. Sandy and Ervin were always cheering through all the baseball games. The Docks have always been generous and their house was always open for friends and family. Thank you for the fond memories!

I will certainly miss seeing Sandy out on her morning walks, often braving the cold or heat to get the task done. I am so sorry for your loss.

I grew up across the street from the Docks on Village Street in Parkcrest , Sandy was always very protective of all of us kids that went to Horace Mann and it seems like we practically grew up in there backyard pool. Village street was a great place to grow up in the 70’s and 80’s and for myself a major reason for that was the Dock family. My condolences go out to Ervin , John and Teresa. Your Mom was a wonderful caring lady

Almost every morning, I would look out my window and see Sandra walking in the neighborhood. If I was outside. I'd tell her how proud I was about her self discipline to walk everyday. She'd just smile and wave at me. I've never met any nicer people than Sandra and Ervin. I am sad. I'll miss seeing her . Be strong Ervin. Bill Tandy

Sandra was my neighbor and very first friend when I moved to Springfield in 1954. We were in 4th grade at Hickory Hills grade school. Even as a young child she was kind and had a sweet disposition. We played ‘Jacks’ endlessly and she was the champion!

Sandra was a gift to all that knew her. I feel honored that I was in that group. She was a wonderful friend and neighbor and will be missed by so many. She was always so kind to make "sweet treat" bags and give to the neighborhood kids during all the holidays. And even though my grandson doesn't live in the neighborhood, she always made one for him too. So sweet! Ray and I offer our deepest condolences to Ervin and his family during this time of deep loss.
