Sandra “Sandy” Kathleen Stevens, 74 of Springfield, MO passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021.

The daughter of Thomas and Murl (Penn) Moynihan born October 8, 1947. Sandy graduated from Willard High School, Willard, MO in 1965.

She was united in marriage to Larry Dean Stevens of Springfield, MO on December 30, 1966. Their nearly 55 year marriage was a true life fairy tale that brought them four children, 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Sandy worked in Accounts Receivable for John Q. Hammons Hotels for 34 years “Chasing deadbeats” as she would laughingly say and only recently retired to help care for her mother.

Sandy had a passion for gardening and had a green thumb that would make anyone jealous. She also enjoyed antiques and loved to spend time searching for one more piece to add to her collection. Her love of antiques and gardening was matched only by the love she had for her family.

Survivors include her husband of almost 55 years, Larry Stevens, children Dianna Kay (Chuck) Love, Corpus Christie, TX, Larry Dean (Janet) Stevens, Gastonia, NC, Thomas James “TJ” ((Angela) Stevens, Springfield, MO, and Carrie (Ray) Halbert, Marysville, KS. Grandchildren Nick, Alex, Josh (Kris), Mackinnon and Jacob Love. Halee and Brady (Charley) Stevens. Jordan (Kilee), Aleah and Delaney Stevens. Connor and Noah Halbert. Great Grandchildren Cooper and Adlee Stevens. Brother Rick Moynihan. And sisters from another mother Mary Landown and Linda (Randy) Jones

Sandy was proceeded in death by her Mother and Father Murl and Thomas Moynihan. Brother Larry Moynihan. Sister in Law Pam Moynihan.
