Obituary: Sharon Joy Hutton

Sharon Joy Hutton, a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated healthcare professional, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2023, in Lebanon, MO. She was born on May 26, 1951, in Erie, PA, to her proud parents whose love and support shaped her into the remarkable woman she became.

Sharon was a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant, working in the medical field for many years. Her dedication to helping others led her to her employment at North Ridge Place in Lebanon, where she provided care and comfort to countless patients during their times of need.

Outside of her professional life, Sharon found her greatest joy in her role as a wife and mother. She shared an unbreakable bond with her loving husband, Bobbie Hutton, with whom she built a life filled with love, support, and unwavering companionship. Sharon’s children, Donna Griffin, Destiny Rodden, Carl Rainey, Wayne Rainey, and Jerry Rainey were the light of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and the individuals they became. Her sons-in-law’s and daughter-in-law’s, Randy Griffin, Frank Rodden, Marita Rainey, Tina Smith, and Diane Rainey, were welcomed into her heart as cherished members of the family. Sharon was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren who will miss her hugs and smiles.

Born with a compassionate nature, Sharon always put the needs of others before her own. Her kindness and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Whether it was lending an empathetic ear, providing a comforting touch, or sharing a heartfelt smile, Sharon had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel seen and loved.

Outside of her roles as caregiver and nurturer, Sharon enjoyed spending time fishing, crocheting, and yard selling. Her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures served as a reminder for us all to slow down and savor the present moment.

Sharon’s unexpected passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her impact on those who loved her will be felt for generations to come. Sharon is preceded in death by her son Dale Reynolds and granddaughter Ashley Griffin.

Sharon Joy Hutton’s presence will forever be missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have known her. May her soul rest in everlasting peace.
