Sharon Smith, age 76 , of Mount Vernon passed away Thursday, July 30th, 2020 at the Maples Health and Rehab.
Sharon was born November 17, 1943 in Split Log , MO to Lee and Dorothy Taylor . She attended Goodman High School. She was united in marriage to Charles Smith in 1964, to this union six children were born. Sharon was a devoted, loving mother, excellent seamstress and cook. Anything she put her mind to doing she did well. She loved going on trips to Branson with her girls, and playing games. Sharon’s greatest love was spending time with her family, especially during the holidays.
Survivors include three daughters, Gina Schwab, Sabrina Lamb, and Natalie Smith; two sons, Tony Smith and Chris Smith; nine grandchildren, Colton Easton, Braydon Schwab, Brooke Snider, Kylie Weems, Calvin Smith, Leah Smith, Brittney Mahl, and Zach Smith; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, James Taylor; one sister, Nancy Duncan; and a host of family and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by one son, Nathan Smith; her parents, Lee and Dorothy Taylor, two brothers, John Clark Taylor and John Allen Taylor; and one sister, Beverly Jean Christopher.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be from 11 am-2 pm, Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the Sequiota Park Pavilion, 3500 S Lone Pine Ave, Springfield, MO 65804.
