Sherlie Eugeneia Owens, age 63, of Bruner, MO, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Manor Care of complications due to heart bypass surgery. She was born May 9, 1952 in Odessa, Texas, to Sherlie Eugene and Shirley Bernadine (Ginger) Hedger. She was united in marriage to Jerry Wayne Owens. She worked at Fasco Ind. for many years, then McDonalds and Edcomm. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1971, and graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2009. Then she graduated from Vatterott College. Sherlie mostly loved her pets, and she liked to crochet, go fishing, word search, taking long drives to no where, and playing on the computer. She loved to collect cows and eagles. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Owens. Also surviving are two children; Shirley Hazell, Elkland, MO., and Christina Laloge of Springfield, two grandchildren; Alexander Hazell and Kaela Hazell, and two great-grandchildren; Ariana Titus and Tyler Titus, and one sister; Ada Mae Smith of Louisiana. She is predeceased in death by her parents, Sherlie Eugene and Shirley Bernadine Hedger, sister; Ginger Lee Biyleu, two nieces; Pauline LaBrie and Pamela Squire, and one nephew; Eugene Smith. Visitation will be Thursday, July 9th at Greenlawn North from 6:00-8:00pm. Service will be held at Greenlawn North on Friday, July 10th at 1:00pm, with Dale Roller officiating. Burial will be at Owens Cemetery in Bruner, MO.
