Funeral services for Shirley Ann Meyer Hanks age 72 of Hollister, Missouri will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at New Hope Church at McFall, Missouri with Brother Chris Ward and Rev. Clifton Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Foster Cemetery at New Hampton, Missouri under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, Mo.
She died April 24, 2015 at her home in Hollister, Missouri.
She was born on March 29, 1943 near McFall, Missouri the daughter of Leslie and Georgia Vance Meyer. She was a homemaker and a graduate of the Bethany High School with the class of 1961. She was also a member of the Victor Baptist Church in Branson. She was united in marriage to Gary Ramey of Ridgeway, Missouri and to this union was born two children. She later married Bill Hanks in 1978 and moved to Hollister where she resided until her death.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Hanks of the home in Hollister. Two children, Doug Ramey of Walnut Shade, Missouri and Lona Whisnant of Sedalia, Missouri. Four step-children: Jeff Hanks of Camdenton, Dan Hanks of Linn Creek, Lynette Avery of Lone Jack and Susan Holsburg of Raytown, Mo. One grandson, Daniel Ramey of Walnut Shade, Mo., four step grand-sons and three step-granddaughters and fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson and one hour prior to service time on Thursday at New Hope Church in McFall.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Victor Baptist Church in Branson, Missouri or the New Hope Baptist Church in McFall, Missouri.
