Sophia Ellen Quick Mease, age 66, departed this world to be with her heavenly Father on the morning of July 15th, 2015. She passed away peacefully with her husband at her side in the comfort of their home.
Sophia was born in her hometown of Reeds Spring, MO at her family’s farmhouse down Indian Point Rd on August 5th, 1948. She was the youngest daughter of Dowe and Ruth Quick.
Sophia graduated from Reeds Spring High School and then went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse from North Arkansas College. She worked as an RN at both Skagg’s and Cox South, then taught the LPN program at Gibson Technical Center, and finished up her nursing career as the Director of Nursing for Kindred Healthcare.
She is predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Dowe Quick, her brother, Dowe Quick Jr., and her sister, Lavaughn Long.
Sophia is survived by her loving husband, Larry, her mother-in-law, Lexie, her brother Bill Quick and his wife Betty, her sister Phyllis Anderson, her sister Carolyn Park and her husband John, her son Jerit (Robbie) Mease and his wife Amber, her daughter, Shona Kay Kolster and her husband Alan, her daughter Tonya Jo Cox and her husband Don, her grandchildren Ashton Lee Pettypiece, Colton Samuel Mease and his wife Emily, Ashton BreAnn Clayborn and her husband Brandon, Taylor Dawn Williams and her husband Garrett, Laremy Jean Mease and his wife Haley, Jerica Lee Badley and her husband Joe, Tanner Alan Kolster and his wife Jackie, Christopher Chase Pettypiece, Thalia Nichole Kolster, Ryan Jay Mease and his wife Amanda, Cooper Hardin Pettypiece, Cameron Ty Kolster, Lily Jo Pettypiece, her great-grandchildren, Lexie Michelle Mease, Khonnor Jean Mease, Hayden Kyler Badley, Payten Franklin Mease, Dawson RyAnn Clayborn, Wyatt Jayce Badley, Sawyer Kayl Clayborn, Beckett Mikal Clayborn, Carrow Sophia Pettypiece, Kambrie Jade Badley, Breckon James Clayborn, baby girl Mease, and the Kolster twins.
Sophia Mease was a beautiful soul that lit up the lives of everyone around her with her quick wit, big heart, and smile. She leaves behind an abundance of family and friends that will always cherish and remember just how special to the world she was. Grandma, we love and miss you so much already, thank you for showing us what true love really is with Grandpa, leading by example to teach us to be strong, and most importantly for giving us your heart.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with Cathy Wolven officiating.
Visitation will be at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Sunday prior to the service.
