Mr. Stanley Ray McDonald, age 58 of Bolivar, MO, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009, in the Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility Bolivar. He was born July 25, 1951, the son of Delbert and Evelyn (Buck) McDonald, in Springfield, MO. He was a construction worker, attended the Mt. Gilead Methodist Church, and he is a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #138.
Preceding him in death is his parents; his mother and father in-law Lupe and Bill Black; and two step children: Samantha and Deven Harris.
He is survived by his wife Linda of the home; two daughters: Chelsea Rae of the home, and Melissa Davis of Highlandville, MO; one son Steven Ray McDonald of Norman, OK; a brother Tommy Edwards and wife Michelle of Puerto Rico; a sister Rebecca Turner of Springfield, MO; sister in-law Cindy Johnson and husband Phil of Springfield, MO; two brothers in-law Irland Black and wife Martha, and Virgil Black all of Bolivar, MO; six grandchildren: Justin, Shane, Matt, Andrea, Nick, and Alexis; nephews: David, T.D., and Marty of OK, Scottie of Springfield, MO, and Cody and Curtis of Bolivar, MO; nieces: Tracy and husband Robert of OK, Kelly and Johnetta of Springfield, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 24, 2009, with Pastor Gary Parsons officiating, burial will follow. Pallbearers will be Chelsea McDonald, Terry Francka, Stephen Francka, James Flanders, Mike Herbert, and Daniel Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Mosher, Jerry Prine, and Danny Wagnor.
