Susan Lynn Midcap, age 56, of Walnut Grove, MO, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 in her home. She was born December 9, 1958, to William and Beverly Kytola. She was united in marriage to Charles Midcap on November 10, 1979, at Lake Isabella, CA. Susan worked for Cox Medical Center as a Registered Nurse for over fifteen years, many of her co-workers will always remember her patience and kindness when they were being trained by her. Her family and friends were very proud and amazed when she rolled across the stage in her wheelchair to receive her Bachelors Degree in Nursing in 2014. Susan Loved to help others by volunteering at Camp Barnabas and participating in numerous fund raising walks. She was very active in a leadership role with troop 409 of the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed horseback riding and camp outs. Susan was a outstanding cook, who taught many 4-H girls the art of cake decorating. She will always be remembered for her warm smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beverly Kytola. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles (Chuck) Midcap, Walnut Grove, MO; two children, Kristina Swearingin and husband Ryan, Willard and Jeremy Midcap, Walnut Grove; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Suzanne, and Grayson; and a host of family and friends.A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Chaplain Larry Cooper officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Barnabas or the Children’s Miracle Network. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
