Susan Marie Payne, 58, of Springfield, MO, passed away on Thursday, February 11th, 2016, in Wilson’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation. Susan was born March 27, 1958 in Kansas City, MO to George and Margaret Anoka. She attended the University of Missouri from 1992 to 1994, and OTC from 1995 to 1996. She served in the Air Force for 2 years, and served Cox Hospital from 2002 to 2010. She was an active member of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her father, George Anoka; 2 brothers, Michael and Carl; grandparents, Fred and Marjean James. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Anoka; one son, Michael (& Katie) Payne; 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Miranda Payne; 2 nephews, Zach and Matt (& Jenny) and 2 children, Maks and Milo; and close friends, Terrese and Lucia.There will be visitation on Sunday, February 21, 2016, from 4 PM to 6 PM in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Burial will be on Friday, February 26, 2016, at 2 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
