Tawney was a devoted Christian and a member of Salem Avenue Baptist Church. She loved scrapbooking, making personalized cards for her friends, and babysitting her grand-dog Chuck. She loved her family more than anything in this world. She spent her days reading devotionals, taking care of her grandmother, and telling her daughter every day to never text and drive. Tawney beat the odds of surviving for 7 years since she was diagnosed with cancer. David devoted his life to taking care of her every minute of the day. She was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Bryant and three uncles and aunts – Bill & Lois Kendrick, Lloyd & Mildred Kendrick, and Lowell & Mable Kendrick.
She is survived by her husband David of St. James; one daughter Courtney and husband Justin, grand-daughter Danika, grand-son Zander, all of Owensville; grandmother Nellie Jackson of Cuba; as well as countless relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10 from 3-4 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, MO. Funeral service will follow at 4pm led by Marshall Bruner. Graveside service to conclude held at Greenlawn Cemetery. To plant a memorial tree in honor of Tawney Rushel Zajkowski, please visit our Heartfelt Sympathies Store.
