Ted Gann, of Springfield, was born August 29, 1926 to Walter and Gracie Gann and passed away on October 14, 2020 at the age of 94. His goal was to make it to 100. Ted was of the Baptist faith. He worked for Springfield Grocer (Yellow Bonnet) and retired from Foremost Dairy.
He was the last survivor of his siblings Ralph, Lee, Nealie, Nellie, Zelma, Alma and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, wife Alta Mae, and grandson Brad Gann. Ted is survived by his sons Jerry (Linda) and Joe (Susan), granddaughters Amy (Kevin) Nimmo and Heather (Mike) Green and three great granddaughters Alyssa, Victoria and Mikenna Green. He is also survived by his stepfamily, Elaine McQuillen, Barbara (Ellis) Hogenmiller, Cheryl (Coy) Duncan and Greg (Barbara) Harrell and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving him is his special friend and traveling partner Marty Van Stavern.
The family would like to thank the awesome and caring staff at Republic Nursing and Rehab and Regional Hospice for the wonderful care that Ted received.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn North. There will be a viewing on Sunday October 18, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a graveside service on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
