Terry Ellen Poindexter, age 76, of Springfield, MO. passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 after a long illness. She was born November 15, 1939 to Terry and Bessie Owens.
She was a dedicated, loving, and supportive wife, mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family and beloved husband of 46 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ritz Poindexter, her parents, and her sister Lyndel Sartin. She is survived by her sons, Randy Poindexter and wife Cindy of San Antonio, TX, Gary Poindexter of St. Joseph, MO, Danny Poindexter and wife Carol of Sparta, MO; and her daughters, Linda Shipman of Springfield, MO., and Peggy Smith of Springfield, MO; and her grandchildren Stacey Whitehead, Ian Shipman and wife Molly, Jamie Willis and husband Andy, Justin Poindexter and wife Jennifer, Beth Peters, Kodi Poindexter and wife Danielle, Scott Poindexter, and Kari Smith; and great grandchildren Kirsten Whitehead, Dixon Whitehead, Clayton Shipman, Bradley Shipman, Madison Shipman, Logan Peters, Tucker Poindexter, Koberly Peters, Evynne Willis, Jaxton Poindexter and Jaden Poindexter; and her brother Homer Owens and wife Bonnie; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Rock Prairie cemetery in Halltown, MO.
