Timothy Earl Shotwell joined his parents, Floyd and Beverly (Long) Shotwell, and his brother, Richard Shotwell, in Heaven on Thursday, May 25, 2023. He is survived by his wife Jennifer (Holdcraft) Shotwell; sister, Kathy Anne Dugger and her husband, Tommy; and his children: Samantha, Tara, Jesse, Kenny, Robby, and James. His 11 grandchildren will always have Big Papa in their hearts, as will his nieces and nephews, especially Eric and Timmy, and countless other great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tim’s family was not determined by blood and he will be missed by all of his families including those from Parkview, Freightliner (including his many customers), and Culley’s. Tim’s heart was way too big.

A visitation for Tim Shotwell will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North (3506 N National Avenue) in Springfield. A memorial service will be held immediately following his visitation at 3:00 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. An extended visitation will continue after the service until 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Tim will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on Friday, June 9, 2023.

The family is requesting those attending Tim’s memorial service bring pictures to be displayed at the service. If you would like your photo back after the service, please write your name on the back of the photo along with your email address. Otherwise the family will keep your photo and add it to their personal collection.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Tim’s memory to Crossway Cares at Crossway Baptist Church (2900 N Barnes Avenue) in Springfield.
