Twilla Mae Willoughby, age 90 of Springfield, MO, passed away on March 3, 2016. She was born on February 21, 1926 to James and Lula (Ennis) Henson.
Twilla was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Elenvill Henson, two sisters Bernice Henson and Ora Riddle, a son Francis Rice and her husband of 49 years Marion “Brownie” Willoughby. She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Higginbotham of Hull, Georgia, three sons, Kenneth Arnold of Lamar, MO, Ron Bowman and Dean Willoughby and his wife Debbie of Springfield, MO, 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Twilla was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on December 14, 1981 and remained a faithful servant to her God Jehovah in the Cedar Valley Congregation until her death. Studying bible truth was one of the greatest pleasures of her life and she was always eager to share her faith with everyone.
A short graveside service will be held in Delaware Cemetery in Nixa, MO on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Hospice Compassus or to the charity / organization of your choice.
