V. Estalee Perry, 82, passed away February 8, 2021 from COVID-19. She is predeceased by her husband, Linford Perry and her parents Herman and Lillie Reasons. She is survived by her children, Timothy Cantrell and Linda Moon; her grandchildren Anna Phillips, Jessamyn McKelvey, Leianna Pavon, and Josiah Cantrell; her great grandchildren Diego and Adaline Jimenez Phillips, Mark Phillips and Claire McKelvey. Estalee was a life-long resident of Springfield, MO. She earned her Masters in Education and taught in Springfield Public Schools for 36 years. Most of her students knew her as “Mrs. C.” She enjoyed listening to music, playing cards with friends, traveling and finding amazing deals at Thrift Stores. Her two favorite hobbies were dancing and shopping. She could outdance the best of them kicking it up with the Polka, Waltz, line dancing and the country two step. She was an extreme shopper and had a complete outfit with matching shoes, purse and jewelry for every day of the year. Estalee was a beautiful, passionate loving person with an amazing life story. She was a breast cancer survivor who modeled strength and encouragement to live life to the fullest. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grand children.
Services will be at Green Lawn South Mortuary on Friday, February 12, 2021 with visitation from 1:00-2:00, Service at 2:00-2:30 and burial at White Chapel Cemetery at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider getting vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or donating school supplies to your local school district.
